If recycling is at the heart of the work of the GGSV duo formed by Gaëlle Gabillet and Stéphane Villard since the creation of their studio, they propose to teach it during this internship dedicated to the aesthetics of recycling to meet the challenges of the industry in the face of pollution.
At the end of the training, the intern will have assimilated:
Discover this training dedicated to "new strategies and aesthetics of recycling", an experience combining theory and practice, while placing the participant at the heart of the action.
This training will initially focus on acquiring knowledge related to the recycling and upcycling process by promoting synergies between different sectors. Participants will have the opportunity to discover the actions of key players in the industry and the circular economy market, by identifying reserves of raw materials, semi-finished products and products in the process of being recycled. Several conferences, at the heart of Campus MaNa, will be organized around these themes.
In a second phase, guided by Gaëlle Gabillet and Stéphane Villard from Studio GGSV, this training will be a practical experience during which participants, working in teams, will design and produce prototypes of furniture and objects from deposits of materials to be recycled. They will be invited to manipulate the material to consider different aesthetics of the transformation. To do this, they will benefit from the expertise of Studio GGSV and a specialized craftsman to create pieces combining know-how, new aesthetics and recycling.
Gaëlle Gabillet and Stéphane Villard joined forces in Studio GGSV in 2011, after collaborating on "{Objet} Trou Noir", a manifesto project that won the 2011 VIA Carte Blanche, which joined the permanent collection of the Centre Pompidou in 2017. Their project, which attracted much attention, responded to the principles of eco-design through the recovery of waste, the decomposition of manufactured products and the despecialization of objects.
Since then, they have developed a multidisciplinary practice, ranging from exhibition curating to object design, from scenography to interior architecture. The first French designers to collaborate with Gufram, they presented large-format rugs inspired by the disco years in Milan in 2018. The same year, for the 40th anniversary of the Centre Pompidou, they imagined "Galerie Party", a unique event for the Galerie des enfants.
In 2019, back from their residency in the prestigious Villa Medici, they signed with the architects h2o the redevelopment of the Museum of Modern Art of the City of Paris for which was imagined a "phantom furniture", which disappears to leave all their place to the works.
In 2021, the 19M entrusted them with the complete development of "La Galerie", for which they designed all the furniture, playing with different exceptional craftsmanship to innovate on finishes, shapes and materials.

He then obtained a second certificate in artistic ironwork in Nièvre in 2014 at the Montchatelet high school in Varzy. He gained experience in various heritage restoration companies, artistic, industrial and contemporary metalwork. Trained in all metalwork processes, he has a panoramic approach to production projects of different types.
In 2017 he created the Ateliers Cola (in Montreal, near Avallon, at the gateway to Morvan) and has since worked with various designers, producing furniture, fittings and custom-made objects.
