Maud Ruby’s career has unfolded at the intersection of fashion and materials. Trained in fashion design and patternmaking at the LISAA school, she began her career in the world of textiles and accessories, collaborating with brands such as Lagerfeld Gallery Maroquinerie, Malhia Kent, and Irina Volkonskii. Very quickly, craftsmanship became her calling: she completed her training at Greta de la Mode in Paris, earned her CAP as an independent candidate, and immersed herself in exceptional craftsmanship.
Feathers thus became her language. For more than five years, she trained at Legeron, an iconic family-run workshop, where she mastered the techniques and traditions of featherwork. Today, as a feather artist and milliner, Maud Ruby puts her expertise to work for leading Parisian houses—Lemarié, Sandrine Bourg, and Michel Carel—as well as international fashion houses such as Givenchy, The Row, Dries Van Noten, and Ralph Lauren.
As the founder of her own design studio specializing in featherwork, she pursues an approach in which traditional craftsmanship engages with contemporary design. Her work now extends to interior architecture, design, and scenography, exploring new frontiers where materials become space and objects become emotion.
