Marion Chopineau

Founded in 2000 in Paris, the Atelier Marion Chopineau is a textile research and design studio dedicated to exceptional craftsmanship. It develops materials, surfaces, and forms for interior design and haute couture, at the intersection of artisanal experimentation and technical innovation.

In particular, the studio explores 3D molding, embroidery, and knotting techniques. Its contemporary textile structures most often emerge from the transformation, hybridization, and reinterpretation of artisanal techniques such as macramé, basketry, weaving, and leatherwork. With a particular focus on three-dimensional creations (circular braiding) or pieces molded directly onto the body or a design object, the studio employs an ornamental vocabulary

Each project combines rigorous aesthetic research with a keen attention to the behavior of the material, its uses, and its potential applications.

Drawing on its recognized experience working with luxury brands, designers, and cultural institutions, the Marion Chopineau Studio designs unique solutions—reproducible on a small or medium scale—intended for the decorative arts, interior design, and exceptional objects and pieces. Its approach is rooted in the transmission of craftsmanship, the celebration of materials, and the development of innovative materials with a strong sensory and artistic dimension.

Since 2016, a new innovative technique has been added to the range of methods used in the studio: Hévéatex ©. This involves casting rubber tree sap onto a trompe l’œil mold base developed using 3D modeling.

The Glass Tube Jewelry Sets and Vases straddle the line between jewelry and textile objects. Fragile and enveloping sculptures, these small glass structures possess the elegance of lace trims, tiaras, or royal regalia. Placed on a smooth surface, like relics that have traveled through time, they regain their perfect circular shape, return to their geometric realm, and evoke crystalline architecture. Their solid base rises toward the sky like a spine, an air cage.
