Ceramicist

Jongjin Park

Profile

Jongjin Park, a South Korean ceramicist born in 1982, explores the intersection of apparent fragility and unexpected solidity.

By layering paper and porcelain slip, he creates forms that oscillate between organic and artificial, questioning the boundary between illusion and reality.

A graduate of Kookmin University (BFA, MFA, PhD) and Cardiff Metropolitan University (MA in Ceramics), he exhibits internationally at prestigious events such as Design Miami, PAD, Art+Design, EMERGE Singapore, and Collect, as well as at the Florian Daguet-Bresson and J. Lohmann galleries.
His work combines artisanal craftsmanship with collectible design. His collaborations with Bottega Veneta, AderError, Gentle Monster, and Lexus demonstrate his interest in the dialogue between tradition, innovation, and contemporary technologies.

A professor at Seoul Women’s University, specializing in “Crafts & Collectable Design”, Park continues her exploration of the hand and materials in the age of artificial intelligence, continuing to reinvent ceramics in a resolutely contemporary language.
