What does hospitality look like today, at a time when the customer experience is undergoing profound changes?
How can we design places—hotels, restaurants, and living spaces—capable of forging a meaningful connection between heritage, innovation, and emotion?
These are the questions answered by the Jouin Manku agency and Carole Calvez on Friday, September 26th. This meeting was an invitation to delve into the world of Jouin Manku, an international leader in interior design and architecture, to explore how new codes of hospitality are embodied in places with a strong identity, whether historic, heritage, or completely transformed.
Through a selection of iconic projects (Les Haras de Strasbourg, La Mamounia in Marrakech, and Fontevraud Abbey), participants discovered how the agency designs spaces where experience takes precedence over demonstration, where every detail tells a story and contributes to a sensitive, sensory, and sustainable welcome.
To open this exploration, olfactory designer Carole Calvez revealed the power of scents in the design of a space: how the invisible influences our relationship with space, and how sensory perceptions enrich the very notion of hospitality.
