The “Living in the window” workshop illustrates a creative and free vision that shifts from mere functionality. Today, the window has become a product. It is about achieving a departure from current design and rediscovering a resonance between the building and daily experience: thinking about the window in new ways, in a transversal practice which does not dissociate the gesture from the thought.
After a first week of reflection, conferences and debates, the project took the form of a concept window which explores other possible paths. The workshop ended in style with the manufacturing of a spectacular full-size prototype, created by the six young professionals coming from various backgrounds and registered for this adventure.
The result of this collective work shows all the possibilities that open up when we appropriate the technique and consider the window not as a serial object but as a place, a threshold between the intimate and the landscape which offers multiple ways to experience it on a daily basis.

Inaugurated last April, Campus MaNa is a professional training center dedicated to design, architecture, arts and crafts. The founders – Thomas Dariel (designer) and Sophie Dariel,
both at the head of the furniture publisher Maison Dada – have set up this campus in the countryside, in the former annex of the Maisons-Alfort veterinary school, in Champignelles-enPuisaye (Yonne).
MaNa, in reference to National Manufacture, places the transmission of know-how and work.

- Ceramics workshop with Sofi Buquet, open to children and adults. "Playing with Clay: Exploring the Potential of Clay through Sensory and Expressive Activities." Campus MaNa places emphasis on material and practical skills in its creative courses. The clay slab allows participants to discover the potential of clay in a sensory and expressive manner. The Design Academy Eindhoven and Campus MaNa are joining forces to offer a professional summer school in a creative immersion residence in the countryside, in Burgundy. Contemporary issues in design and architecture are addressed by leading creators and excellent craftsmen to combine creation, reflection, manufacturing and know-how from the artistic professions.
Design Academy Eindhoven is one of the world’s foremost educational institutes in the field of design. The various departments train students from different perspectives to produce critical and socially engaged designers.
